Sight (and all other sense doors) discerns the relative – that which vibrates and moves.
Insight discerns the absolute – the silent background – all that does not vibrate or move.
Together they balance the mind and complete the picture of reality where samsara is nirvana rightly understood and nirvana is samsara fully penetrated.
